Contact form outreach

Contact form outreach is an outbound prospecting technique where you send a business message through the “Contact us” form published on a company’s official website. It is also called contact form prospecting or web form outreach.

It sits alongside cold calling and cold email as a form of outbound outreach, but it doesn’t require you to obtain the recipient’s phone number or email address in advance — any company with an official website and a working contact form is reachable.

Characteristics

  • Uses an official channel — you’re reaching the company through the exact contact channel it publishes, which makes it a practical way to create a first touch.
  • No pre-collected contact info required — you can start from just a homepage URL, without sourcing an email address or phone number.
  • Manual effort is significant — form locations and field layouts differ from site to site, so handling companies one at a time by hand is slow. Tooling can reduce this burden considerably.

A note on responsible use

A contact form typically exists to receive inquiries from customers, and not every company welcomes sales-oriented messages through it. Sites that explicitly state they don’t want sales contact should be excluded from outreach. Message content may also be subject to anti-spam and electronic communications laws depending on your jurisdiction and the recipient’s — confirming what applies is the sender’s own responsibility.
